CBCT (3D Dental CT)

WeCare 3D CBCT (Cone beam computed tomography) is a special type of imaging machine which rotates around the patient’s face to create an 3D image of the teeth, soft tissues, nerve pathways and bone in a single scan which helps in precise treatment planning.

WHEN IS A 3D CBCT REQUIRED?

  • High frequency machine with radiation exposure
  • No radiation remains in patient body
  • Accurate placement of the dental implants
  • Real time jaw movement tracking

IS A 3D CBCT PAINFUL? DOES IT TAKE TOO LONG TO COMPLETE A SCAN?
  • A 3D CBCT is not at all painful. It is extremely simple and allows the patient to stand, lie-down, or sit while the CT scanner revolves around their head. The process also requires the patient to bite on a plastic mouth-piece to ensure that the head and the mouth are still. The entire process won't take more than 10 minutes.

  • Please tell the radiographer in case you are pregnant or suspect to be pregnant. You will also have to remove any jewellery, eye gear, and accessories on the upper body before you get a 3D CBCT.
