IS A 3D CBCT PAINFUL? DOES IT TAKE TOO LONG TO COMPLETE A SCAN?
- A 3D CBCT is not at all painful. It is extremely simple and allows the patient to stand, lie-down, or sit while the CT scanner revolves around their head. The process also requires the patient to bite on a plastic mouth-piece to ensure that the head and the mouth are still. The entire process won't take more than 10 minutes.
ARE THERE IMPORTANT THINGS THAT I NEED TO REMEMBER BEFORE I DO A 3D CBCT?
- Please tell the radiographer in case you are pregnant or suspect to be pregnant. You will also have to remove any jewellery, eye gear, and accessories on the upper body before you get a 3D CBCT.
